Bird dog enthusiasts gathered for the 10th anniversary running of the Sunflower Open All Age Championship held October 20-23, 2003 on the Kimbell Ranch, Yates Center, Kansas.


Winning the one-hour 2003 Sunflower All Age Championship was Bodacious Boone, a male pointer, owned by Drs. Barry Gray and Alex Jacacks, and handled by Allen Vincent, Owasso, Oklahoma with a big outfront race and a find on native quail.

The Runner Up was Holler Point Blaze, a female pointer, owned and handled by Rodney Shoemaker, Kansas City, Missouri with finds on quail and prairie chickens.

The 30-minute Derby, was won by S. F. On Site, owned and handled by Larry Smith, Altoona, Iowa; 2nd place was Regent, handled by Randy Anderson, Vinita, Oklahoma; and 3rd place was Wild Horses, handled by Mike Johnson, Corinth, Mississippi for owner Mike Peretta.
